Tithe, Valiant, and Ironside by Holly Black?

I finished reading Tithe today and it was great! I heard Valiant has nothing to do with with either Tithe or Ironside, but should I read it, will it help when I read Ironside?

Also, is Ironside good? Does Roiben and Kaye's romance continue or is it gonna be a let down like Breaking Dawn was? (well, all Twilight books were a let down.)

Team Edward or Jacob?

Typically I don't think too much of this. I mean, I've read the books once, seen the movies, and I have one shirt. But I'm not a Twilight Junkie. I am team Jacob. I would love to see them make a movie showing what her life would be like with Jacob, because I think she'd seem more human. I saw the movie tonight, and I know it's just a movie but personally, Bella's character bugs me in New Moon, and I think it is because she uses him as an antidote for the pain, it reminded one of my guy friends has had that happen to him soooo many times! If Jacob were real, I'd feel so bad for him!
wow, lots of people are anti twilight... lol, I probably would not either, if it weren't for this real life friend of mine being treated as some pain releaver.

Any Twilight fans willing to read my short fan fiction so far and give criticism?

I'm fairly new to fan fiction so I am not sure if my storyline is ideal or not. It'll still be based on the two main characters falling in love, but I wanted it to be more dark and gloomy with violence and horror. Basically Edward Cullen (with the help of his father, Doctor Carlisle) satiates his hunger in the evenings by tracking serial killers and using his gift of mind reading as an advantage to lure them, and then he kills them.

Why are a lot of beautiful women so dull and laconic?

I think the issue is that they've gotten so used to just getting a free pass on everything by looking pretty that they failed to develop an intriguing personality. All the "hot" girls that I've known in my past (I graduated high school a year ago) were so BORING and uninspiring. All they ever cared about was celeb gossip, facebook drama, Twilight, and the next keg party that they plan on attending so that they can get smashed and have one night stands.

I don't mean to sound jaded but facts are facts and I just pray that I can find an intelligent, beautiful, and actual INTERESTING girl to talk to some day.
NOTE: I didn't say ALL beautiful women, just the ones I've known in my life.

What are some good books for a 13 year old girl?

I LOVE Fantasy and Mythology novels so I've read: The Twilight series, The Alchemist series and The 13th Reality series. I read the SOO quickly what should I read next?

Is literature getting dumbed down in the modern day?

In my opinion, today's literature is being dumbed down. When we look back to classic writers like Dickens, The Bronte sisters, Jane Austen, John Keats, John Steinbeck, Joseph Conrad; I can't help but look at today's literature and despair!

My girlfriend reads and loves the Twilight saga, something which I happen to think is an overly verbose circumlocution of silly plots, childish cliches and poor writing and is a waste of good paper and certainly a force for bad when it comes to literature. It was a constant source of animosity between us, until we managed to sort it out (sort of).

Are our future generations going to look back and say "Oh, the wonders of Stephenie Meyer and her story about vampires that glow and go to school and play baseball in thunderstorms", I hope not but dread it will be the case.

Because young people (of which I am one, a university student) nowadays don't like to read complex and old books they are losing out of wonderful words and ways of speech and all sorts of joys and mystery that are encased within these classics. Instead they just satisfy themselves with awful rubbish like the aforementioned vampiric "saga".

So, I ask again, is literature getting dumbed down in the modern day? Or are young people simply getting less intelligent to read the old classics?
