Writers block, ideas needed please help?

I have been asked to write something for our high school yearbook. It is sort of a tribute to a retiring science teacher who has been with our district for 30+ years. Please help with ideas, thoughts, suggested versus, a jumping off point, or even web sites that could help me with the construction of this passage.

Thanks in advance.

  1. THE SINGER Says:

Write a very personal expression of thankfulness using specific traits and recollections. For instance, you should know something about the teacher, or know someone who does know something that they can share with you in truth. It should not be ‘open’, but a very personal expression of tribute to the teacher. Reflect on past awards or accomplishments. Let the writing reflect you. Take time to edit and proofread your work.

Whenever you’re unsure about how to open up – find out some quote that the teacher liked, or some saying that the teacher might have been familiar with saying – or a quote you like that might represent this person. You might open up with the words to a song that might be fitting.
