But, I seriously doubt a real publisher actually did that. Is the "book" self published? I'll bet it is. Talk to a lawyer. Who knows, you might get possession of every copy he paid to have printed :-) LOL

At the time it did me no good. I wanted revenge, I wanted to get paid for my work or at the very least I wanted the credit. ---- Years later I'm still producing and the publication that took my work dismissed all the staff writers (including the guy who stole my story) and started fresh. --- I don't know how old you are or where you are in your career but if someone has managed to get your style out there and visible and it is being accepted and lauded you should now know that you can do it. You can be a writer. Not just any writer but a published author. That the things you create are in demand and their is not only a market for it but publishers paying for it. Why not you as you? --- In the future don't post full works unless you're willing to accept that people with access to it may very well stick it somewhere else with there name on it. I worked for a public relations firm and though my co-workers knew who did what it really went into a big pot and anyone working on an assignment got the credit. Most of my words were quoted verbatim, whole articles and press releases published under someone elses name. But my boss said, 'that means you're doing your job better than anyone they have on staff'. --- I was able to have several articles published by that magazine under other names but at least my work saw the light of day and was read by thousands. --- Try to see if you can take legal action but know how difficult it can be to prove sometimes. And ask yourself what will you gain? The book is written, it is published under someone elses name. It can't be taken back and you will be more known for the legal battle than the writing itself. --- SMeyer was recently accused of using an idea that a college roommate may have inadvertently shared with her. Thing is Meyer wrote the books, had them published, got the movie deal and the paychecks. The other woman merely concieved the idea and to the public she comes across as trying to 'get credit' even if the truth lies somewhere in the middle. ---You can write again.
