What makes fiction Christian?
I’m a Christian. I also love to write short fiction. Though I wouldn’t call my writing profane, I’m not so sure I can call it “Christian fiction.” What is the difference between Christian fiction and fiction written by a Christian person? Or does fiction written by a Christian person, make the fiction Christian fiction? (Whew!)

Often there are themes that represent Christian metaphors (the Higgs series is based partly on the story of Jacob). Also, generally no sex before marriage
All of the above, I would say, there’s no requirement for you to write “Christian fiction.” Maybe a good rule would be, “would I want to read this to Jesus?”

A good example of Christian fiction would be something like “Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt” by Anne Rice.
If your fiction doesn’t contain any allusions towards Christianity, even if metaphorical, it’s just fiction by a Christian writer.
