What is the value of Fan Fiction?
What is your opinion of fan fictions? I am considering writing a fan fiction of a serial I am a die hard fan of. Do you know any famous fanfics?

I think they are great. I read them and write them all the time. They are a chance to enjoy and explore a series past the books.

“The Draco Trilogy” is famous, as is “My Immortal.”
I write fanfiction because it’s something people actually read.

I love to read and write fanfic. If you want to write one, go for it. However, I don’t think there have ever been any “famous” fanfictions. Perhaps some popular ones…the value is personal – just letting your ideas flow.

I love the idea of fanfiction. It’s a chance for people to read and write about things that mean a lot to them. The only downside I can see is that fanfiction is only as good as the writers that produce it. There are some amazingly talented fanfiction writers, and unfortunately, there are also some really bad writers who can barely spell, have terrible grammar, and are only interested in inserting themselves into their favorite fandoms and getting some sort of weird fulfillment out of it.
But generally, I think fanfiction is great. And it’s usually pretty easy to tell the good stuff from the bad.
