What is the name of the literary device when a character’s name also describes his/her personality?
I’m pretty sure it’s not a double entendre. Like if a character named Purity is very pure and innocent…

I don’t think there is an actual literary device, or at least a consensus among academics, as to what it’s called. The link below offers “label name”, “speaking name”, and “psychological onomatopoeia”.
