What is another name for title character?

Hey,
I’m looking for a word for when a character’s name is in the title of a novel. I know it’s ‘title character’, but is there another term?

the supporting character is the less important ones so maybe its the supported character i think main or title are best

Principal … as in “the principal character.”

There is no special name for the title character.
