what is a good book series for ages 11-14 years old?
I have already read the first book of harry potter and i have the rest of the set. I like to read mystery, fiction, and no fiction books. I am only 11 but i am turning 12 in a few months so i would like to start reading older more age appropriate books.

Twilight but make sure if you or someone else is reading it they must be kind of mature enought to handle the 4th book. Its not too descripitive about the $Ex scenes….

I’d suggest Twilight {because I’m obsessed with it,} but there’s seriously a LOT of big words. And they’re not even made up, like in Harry Potter! Bu there’s also a little suggestiveness in Eclipse and, apparently, a LOT in Breaking Dawn {even though I haven’t gotten that far :/ }. But if you wanna start with something, I don’t know, more appropriate, you should finish Harry Potter. They’re amazing.

If your into the Drama like/a bit more mature stuff I suggest you read these series…
Confessions of Georgia Nicolson (the author lives in england or something, so the words are odd, but she has a dictionary of them in the back, and I love these series so much. She is so hilarious)
The Clique Series(author is Lisi harrison, the series are about 5 girls going through drama in their own clique, called The Pretty Comittee, the first drama series I read and I loved them and I still do)
Cirque Du Freak Series (Derran Shan is the author, its about a boy named Derran Shan, who has a best friend named steve, they get tickets to Cirque du freak. Things happen at teh end of the show, Derran becomes a Vampire and is living the rest of the series being one)
Pretty Little Liars (4 girls have kept drastic secrets, and when their best friend Allyson, who knows everything about them dissappears, things start to change. They start getting threatening messages from someone named “A” A knows all their secrets from the past, and where they are in the day. Its a high school like thing with TONS of it. I loved these series too)
Midnighters (A girl moves to somewhere I forgot. She finds out that there is a secret hour sometime during 12o’clock at night. Everyone else is frozen, but only the people who were born at 12 o’clock can roam the secret hour, where each person has powers of their own. Their are some harmless monsters, who start attacking when the girl is there.)
And of course, Twilight.

You should try the “Percy and the Olympians” series by Rick Riordan. It’s set in modern times about a kid named Percy - who turns out to be the son of a Greek god & how he goes to Camp Half Blood with others like him to learn about themselves & their powers. They are supposed to be making a movie based on the first book “The Lightning Thief” in the next year.
