What do you think about a social science:psychology degree with a minor in English or Creative Writing?
I know there are some ***?ople who would say this is a ‘useless’ degree, ****? I disagree. I like that Social Science covers so much. I was thinking about either a concentration in psychology or a concentration in economics, though I am more interested in psych, and I’m not great at math, which might be a problem for the econ.
I might ****?t to go into teaching, ****? maybe not.
Any opinions on this degree, what I would be able to do with it, and how difficult it would be?
Thanks

English and creative writing go with almost any other major.

I think that a degree in that field would be interesting and that an English or writing minor of some sort would be critical to be able to publish any findings or theories you have. I dont think that it will be of much uise though until you go on to get at least a masters and probably a Phd. I wouldnt recommend it if you plan on actually making a living for yourself and not marrying money unless you plan on getting a few higher degrees, and getting them right away, otherwise you will have alot of student loans and no way to pay them. Its all about specialties in todays marketplace

They sound like a great combination of a major and minor. ***? long ***? you’re sure that you’ll be going into teaching you’ll pretty much have a guaranteed career for you.
As mentioned above, if you ***?rther pursue the Master’s and/or Ph.D in the subject, and you become a tenured professor, you’ll easily be making up to six figures too.
Unfortunately, should you choose anything other than teaching, or should you not pursue the Ph.D in psychology, things will become difficult when it comes to finding a job with just a bachelor’s in psychology. Hope this helps and ****?d luck with your schooling.
