What colleges have good creative writing programs?
I want to major in either English Literature, Creative Writing or English with a minor/concentration in Creative Writing.

Do you know where you want to go? Or have any idea??
If so, I can try to give you a few in your area (if I’m familar with it).
But, overall, I’d say to try Emerson in Boston or Stoney Brook in the South Hamptons (Frank McCourt & Joyce Carol Oates teach there!!!!)
And, don’t ever let someone tell you that you wont find jobs with a writing major! You def. will!! Also, if you have good work submit it to literary magazines and try to get published. Colleges, grad schools and employers like this. has a list of lit mags!

The University of Iowa has the best creative writing program in the world. Hands down. Most people in the field will agree with this. Are you looking at undergrad or graduate? Cause the program at Iowa is a graduate program (called the Writer’s Workshop). However, if you are looking at undergrad, I still think it would be a good choice because pretty much all of their undergrad English classes are taught by people in the Writer’s Workshop, so you learn alot from them, since the teachers are essentially the best of the best grad students in the country. I would definitely recommend going there if you are serious about creative writing.
