A. Poulin, Jr., edited the first six editions, and the ***?venth edition is edited by Poulin and Michael Waters. This ****?k contains a wide array of contemporary poets, whose work is alphabetically arranged by author's last name. The editors include four or five pages of each poet's work, and it gives an excellent introduction to poets so that you can then look for their individual publications. It contains a lot of well knowns- Ginsberg,Williams,P.Smith, ****? a lot of underground poerty that's great ****? gets lost in the shuffle. This will probably only fit the bill if you are intersted in beat/neo-beat poetry, ****? I hope it helps, it's quite a tome, ****? will provide endless hours of poetry grazing. (i.e. I still haven't finished it) The Outlaw Bible of American Poetry.
