What are the best schools for creative writing?

I’ve been heavily looking into Emerson College in Boston but am open to more suggestions.

  1. Tahuti Reincarnate Says:

Any of the older private liberal arts colleges have great creative writing programs. (Swarthmore, Colby, Amhearst, William and Mary, Brown, Dartmouth, Bowdoin) Some of the State Universities have great programs too, but you have to judge them more on an individual basis. (University of Vermont, Pitt, University of Michigan)

Take a look at Hamilton and Holy Cross.

  3. Josh O Says:

Jon Favreau, Obama’s Chief Speechwriter is Holy Cross class of 2003. HC is very strong in writing.
