What are some of the best romance/fiction novels out there?
I believe that great writers also do a great deal of reading. I want to know what books i should be comparing my romance/fiction novel to. Any suggestions?

Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon. If you’re in the UK, the book is titled CROSS-STITCH instead.
You will be head over heels in love with Jamie Fraser by the time his wedding night is finished.

I’m agreeing with whoever said Pride and Prejudice. It’s pretty much THE romance novel that everyone should read at least once. You should also check out some other novels by Jane Austen. Sense and Sensibility is highly recommended.

I agree with who ever said Pride and Predjudice, and other Jane Austen books. There is also Twilight, but its more for a younger group but it has a wonderful plotline and is written amazingly. The whole series will keep you wanting more. And Stephenie Meyers other book, The Host is also very good.
