base it off of someone you know or heard about life

write about the suffering of young children when they are placed in day care. more than 10 hours a week separation from mom causes emotional, intellectual, social, and physical harm, as consistently demonstrated in decades of NICHD research on the subject.
or, write about how Bush is destroying the constitution and making America a fascist state.

It really depends on who your audience is. If the paper is for school, then you should try to understand your teacher more and try to write what the want to hear, and how they want to hear it. I have found if you don’t, or if the teacher disagrees with any of your statement in any way, they will take points off for that. I know, that should not be the case but that is with out a question, how the world works. I have a degree in English and trust me, that was one of the hardest lessons for me to learn, but once I did, I made an A in the class.
If it is just for you, find something of interest that you like, or love to hear about. Maybe some type of gossip you love to hear about, with other people, ways you or other people tend to judge others, or pick a person you think may have had some deep experience in their life and talk to then about it. Then you can covey a message we all can not only experience, that we may not normally experience, but also learn something we would not learn other wise.
Hope that helped you out a lot.

Story writing is about experience but expanding it
Base it on something like
Family
bullying at school
Your first love
How something global effected you ie an uncle going to war?
Your pets
Fighting with your siblings leading to …..
Your Grans 100 birthday
Or remembering what it was like to be incubated in your mother and the day that you were born. I.e. after all the pushing and shoving the noise and light was deafening and blinding of course i let out a scream to let them know i was eventually here……
Hope this has given you inspiration

Visit your local history museum. Find someone who was given credit for something significant and describe what life must have been like for that person. Look at the photos (if there were any) from that period, or paintings. See what other artists saw. Describe what you see!

you can write stories about famous people like, martin luther king, or deondra roslvetey, or someone like that that changed our lives, so that it woud be a good thing. or you can write about maybe planets or something like that. just make sure whatever you choose it doesnt turn out to be fiction, personal naritive, expository, or anything like that

Try out writing something like everyday , any day drama. It’s more realistic and easier to conceptualize but can be very effective to readers or audience bcoz they can relate. There are a lot of themes for such like happiness, betrayal, challenge, etc.

Definitely base it on your own experiences if you can. Those are often the most accurate and easiest to expand on. For example a story about how you got your dog (if you have one) or about moving to a different country (if you have) and the differences between being a ‘normal’ student and an international student and all the different emotions and thoughts that come with moving far from your home. But sometimes I know its difficult to write about your own experiences, so then I would suggest reading a newspaper and writing a story about one or the other article that you find interesting. Or flip through your history text book to find an event which you can give a ‘personal touch’ to. If you have ever read any of Eric Walter’s books, that’s what he does. Good luck and I’m sure your story will turn out wonderfully!

If its for school then I would try to write about maybe a local artists or someone who did something very cool that most people either dont know alot about or something like that . Im doing my paper on a local artists who did a lot of sculptures here in jackson. We all see his sculptures of william faulkner around town and all over the united states, but I never knew who did them, so just go to maybe a art website or music website or history website and look up your hometown…you may find something interesting
good luck!

Creative non-fiction can be put fourth from many avenues
Example
History of medieval vassal: in feudal societies of the early Middle Ages, an adult male human who swore allegiance to a lord in return for help and protection

How slumber parties changed for your group through the years! I remember all mine and all my 3 daughters we had here at the house. Relationships change fast year to year!

The thing that makes non-fiction easy to write is picking a subject [if writing about a person] that has a big volume of works already written about them. This will give you plenty to read, and that will help you to find something interesting to you that you can care enough about to write about. If this is a creative writing course assignment, pick out something about this person to write about that combines your own perspective or opinion on the person with a devil’s advocate perspective in counterpoint, and try to explain both sides of an issue as a good journalist would [and is so seldom done these days].

One thing that always helped me get creative stories started while in school was to think about a situation I wished would happen, or maybe the way I’d wished something had turned out. What would it have been like if you had just talked to that stranger at the mall, for example. Those were always (and still are) just my springboards, but they always got my mind going.

If everything else fails than write a short story that includes royalty, religion, mystery and sex. here is an example of all of them in one line,
“Oh my god, said the princess, I am pregnant and I wonder who is done it!”

Look within. That’s what creative means.
