I’m guessing you’re a girl… because your username is Brittany.. I actually know of a very good historical fiction SERIES
its called “The Royal Diaries” Series. Each book is about the life of a different “royal” girl. Some of the good ones ive read include:
Marie Antoinette: Princess of Versailles, Austria-France 1769
by: Kathryn Lasky
Elizabeth I: Red Rose of the House of Tudor, England 1544
by: Kathryn Lasky
Anastasia: The Last Grand Duchess, Russia 1914
by: Carolyn Meyer
hope that helps!

At Amazon I put Books in the first box on the home page and Y/A historical fiction in the second.
Though I found some books that look good, they were usually less than 200 pages, like: –The Loyalist Runaway by Smyth, 136 p, and –Mystery in the Frozen Lands by Godfree, 132 p.
There was one, –The Green Coat: A Tale From the Dust Bowl Years by McDunn that is exactly 200 pages. There are probably more, as the list looked long, but it’s very time-consuming to look each of them up.
I’m leaving out lots of notes I took.
So I went to Wiki’s list of Newbery winners, which you can do too through the link above, and from that chose a few likely titles and went back to Amazon to find out the number of pages…
–Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Taylor is about racism in the Great Depression and is 288 pages.
Other promising award winners, like –Johnny Tremain by Forbes is longer, 366 p., or too short, like 96 p. of –Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Voices from a Medieval Village by Schlitz.
So, I spent a long time doing research you also can do by following the links provided, or, much more easily, by asking a reference librarian at your public library, even by phone. Ask if they can download what you want while you’re at it, since some libraries do that, on your card.

Ann Rinaldi writes some very good historical fiction for young adults:
Try:
“Time Enough for Drums”
“Girl in Blue”
“Wolf by the Ears”
Or any other of her many novels.
