For action/adventure and a little sci-fi, try any of the books by Matthew Reilly. Start with Ice Station, Seven Deadly Wonders, Contest or Hovercar Racer. The action doesn’t let up long enough for you to get bored and the situations the heroes get into and how they get out of them will keep you turning pages.

You also might like Utopia by Lincoln Child about a futuristic theme park. This is more of an action thriller, but should keep you entertained as well.

Another sci-fi series that I have always enjoyed is Piers Anthony’s Bio of a Space Tyrant series. Plenty of adventure and full of sci-fi action that should keep you turning pages as well.
