What are some good romance/historical fiction/sci-fi fantasy/adventure books?
It’s Summer and I need some new books to read. As you can tell, I like the genres: romance, historical fiction, sci-fi fantasy, and adventure. I like to read books like Tamora Pierce’s Tortall books, the Avon True Romance books, and Eva Ibbotson’s: A Countess Below Stairs, The Morning Gift, A Company of Swans, and A Song For Summer. My favorite book is: To Catch a Pirate by Jade Parker. Does anyone have any recommendations for books that are kind of like the ones I listed above? Any suggestions are welcome.
I forgot to add that I’ve already read the Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, and I they were awesome. Thanks anyway for the people that recommended them.

Mary Stewart books are great for all those genres. Especially her trilogy about Merlin and King Arthur. the trilogy pretty much incorporates all those genres, and they are well-written and very engaging books. The first one is “The Crystal Cave”, the second is “The hollow Hills”, and the last one is “The Last Enchantment”

A really good series I have read is “Sisters of the Lone Star” by Joan Johnston. They are romance historical fiction. The first book is “Frontier Woman”. The second is “Comanche Woman” and the third is “Lone Star Woman”. They are really great books. The best I’ve probably ever read. Historical romance is my favorite anyway. I found them in a second hand book store.

I just finished reading three fantastic books by Nora Roberts known as the Circle Trilogy. First book is called Morrigan’s Cross, second book is called, Dance of the Gods, third book is called Valley of Silence. You’ve got sci-fi/historical/romance/adventure wrapped up in each of the books and you’ll feel good after you’ve read them. I got my books from Wal Mart but I imagine Borders and Barnes and Noble would have them also.

I love Meg Cabot (Heather Wells & Queen of Babble) and Sophie Kinsella’s (Shopaholic [soon to be movie] & Remember Me) Emily Giffin (Something Borrowed & Something Blue, Baby Proof) books. I am in the process of reading Jennifer Weiner’s (Good In Bed & Certain Girls) books. They are all great authors!
For a young adult/teen Meg Cabot’s young adult books. She is the best author. Also best selling. She wrote tons of books including the Princess Diaries (Movies based on her books), Mediator (upcoming movie), 1-800-Missing (TV show based on her books), Jinx, Airhead and more. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her.
If you want more info or any of the authors website’s email me.
