		<description>O. Henry is the king of ironic short stories. I love &quot;After Twenty Years&quot; and &quot;Heart of the West.&quot; But for funny, &quot;The Ransom of Red Chief&quot; is a good bet.
Edgar Allen Poe is also incredible as well as ironic. Try &quot;The Cask of Amontillado&quot; if you like irony. There is a play of that one (along with a lot of his other works, which I also suggest reading or watching plays of).
Roald Dahl also did some iron stuff as well. Like &quot;Lamb to the Slaughter&quot; or &quot;The Landlady.&quot; &quot;The Landlady&quot; is more creepy than ironic, but oh well.</description>
