What are some good historical fiction or fantasy books?
my two favorite genre’s are historical fiction and fantasy. im 13 years old, and my favorite historical fiction author is Jean Plaidy also known as Victoria Holt. thanks!
Tamora Pierce was one of the first fantasy authors i ever read.

You should read Baroness Orczy’s The Scarlett Pimpernel. One of the best historical fiction novels ever made. I first read it back when I was 13

Tamora Pierce is an awesome fantasy writer and I highly recommend her Tortall books starting with the Song of the Lioness series.

Try “The Eight” by Katherine Neville. It’s actually about two girls your age during the French Revolution, but segways into todays time.
or “March” by Geraldine Brooks. It’s about the Father from “LIttle Women” and his story of his envolvement in the Civil War.

Alexandre Dumas books are classic and great historical fiction – “The Three Musketeers” and the sequels “Twenty Years After” and “The Man in the Iron Mask” take place in 1600s France and England. Also the “Count of Monte Cristo”
They are quite long, The Count is over 1000 pages and “Twenty Years After” is about 750 but you can find much shorter versions that have been abridged for younger readers.

Or give Me death is a really good Historical fiction novel. Ann Rinalidi( Not sure on the spelling.) is a great historical fiction novel. I have read a lot of hers and loved them all.For fantasy read Twilight series. Uglies is also a fantasy trilogy that is excellent and you won’t want to put it down.
