What are some good historical fiction authors?
I’m in the mood to read some historical fiction and I would like to know what authors are out there that people really like. I know of Ann Rinaldi, but other than that, I’m clueless. Any suggestions?
By the way, I tried looking up historical fiction in the local library system and we have over 3000 books that fit that criteria. I don’t feel like sifting through them right now and I don’t have time to get to the library before it closes to just browse.

Well, if you like naval battles during the Napoleonic wars then try C. S. Forester’s ‘Horatio Hornblower’ series.
