I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year, which is a Novel Writing program. I want my character to live in a small town setting, preferably snug up against the coast.

Small Hospital or nearby hospital
just a few restaurants and general stores, nothing too fancy
a nice little place where everybody knows everybody and calls each other by their first names, etc.

the more information you can give me about this town the better, as it will be playing a big part in the story.

things like – hang out places, bars, main streets, etc.

I am really excited because today I recieved my acceptance letter from interlochen’s creative writing program! but I am really nervous at the same time. I don’t know if I should bring some stuff I have written lately and what I will need. Please help!

I’m looking to transfer to a cw course in the UK/ Australia from my current Physics major in National Univ of Singapore. An English with Creative Writing program would also be good. Any ideas as to what would be a good place in terms of teachers and/or scholarships, grants, or just a cheap fee package? I want a reasonably good course of course.
