Questions

Can someone give me any ideas for what to write a novel on. I’m currently stuck on two categories I would like the novel to be on; murders, stuff like that and stuff like hurricane survival or tsunami. Stuff that will make the readers feel a tear to their eyes. And something gripping.
Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Do you need some form of degree in literacy, English or whatever in order to write a novel?
I’m thinking of writing a novel and wondered if i needed some form of qualification? Maybe this contributes to making a good story?

I understand that some novelists use outlines and some just go with the flow, and the beauty of novel writing is that there is no right or wrong way how to write a novel. But I am curious about three things for those of you that have written a novel before. How did you make sure or estimate that what you planned to write would turn into a full-length novel? I have already outlined my story I have 20-25 basic scene cards, I plan to write something in between the scenes that I have already planned, but I fear that I will write the whole story and only come up with 10,000 words or so. And how do you write/divide the book into chapters? When I think of my story I don’t really think in chapters. And what is your method on how to create characters that your readers will love and/or care about and are believable?

im only 15 and that age its easy to get distracted but i am trying to write a novel and cant seem to finish a page without going off to do something else, does anyone have any advice to help me with this

I’m trying to write a novel for NaNoWriMo, and I think I’m on the right track in terms of characters, literary devices, etc. The one little problem is that I cannot come up with a ****?d enough plot.

The basic storyline revolves around a girl who ***?ems to feel her dead brother’s presence all around her. Her mother is developing Alzheimer’s, and she has a younger sibling. She knows that her physical and mental condition is ****?idly deteriorating (due to what: I don’t know yet), so, ***? the only able ***?rson in her whole ***?mily, she ****?ts to record a sort of account of her ***?mily history, her life, since she does not ****?t to be forgotten in the ***?ture etc. ***? ***?me passes, her ability to write becomes worse (like in “Flowers for Algernon”), and she needs to be taken care of constantly. Her younger sibling takes over her role ***? the “recorder of anecdotes”.

–This is the point at which I’m completely lost. Maybe before, I don’t know. If anyone has any suggestions, please don’t hesitate to voice them!

Well I’m starting a to write a novel, maybe a series but I was just wondernig if there’s a website or something to see if there are a lot of other books with the same storyline?? or anything thats there’s remotely close to that…thank you!!

well I have to write a novel for school because im in a gifted class and we’re doing nanowrimo and I can only work on it during the month of november, it has to be at least 5,000 words but I wanted to challenge myself so I told my teacher 15,000 because I didn’t want to be the only one who didn’t go up on their words and look like a dumb ass but this month is almost over and I don’t even have one thousand words because i’ve been lazy and procrastinating
please help me

I have wanted to write a novel for some time now. I am a very good writer but I am having trouble starting and getting somewhere. I need to know of a plan to follow or something to aid in keeping the bits and pieces organized in my head or something along these lines. I can’t invest in anything (im broke) but are there any people who have been through the writing process before that could give me steps to follow or any other useful information? Thanks a TON, this is really important to me!
