;Thoughts And Ideas
Space tourism is all around the universe we used to wonder about. It is through wormholes that the military continues their obsession with space. A crew on board a star ship encounter a core platform devoid of life and in area of galaxy unexplored. The platform is human design and scorched with licks of plasma. The crew dock and attach transporting the platform with them. This is when they encounter energy synced creatures………..rest of plot not fleshed out……..what do people think?
Any ideas?
I need ideas on the look and horror felt when encountering these creatures made of pure synced energy.
Thanks but do you have a reason? - paradiseworldmodel

There are several ideas and theories put forward as to why people have writer’s block. This list includes, but is not limited to:
– depression and anxiety
– natural ebb and flow of writing
– traceable to a single instance
– laziness
– untalented writer
– all written out
The fact is that anyone who endeavors to place his original thoughts and ideas to paper (or computer) will experience that total mind bending blank wall at least one time in his or her career. The question isn’t if it will happen but how to break through it.
Writer’s block is a worm of self-doubt and self-consciousness that can be triggered from any number of circumstances. The real issue isn’t how it happened but rather how to break free of the symptoms. And it is curable.
For some, writer’s block can be a short irritating experience while for others it can last for years. Breaking through writer’s block is a process of self-discovery and also a progression of specific action steps that lead back to productive writing.
You’ve heard the expression that recognizing the problem is half the battle? It’s true. And especially true in this case. Often times writer’s block is chalked up to a half a dozen other excuses or reasons for not being able to write constructively or creatively. It is what it is and it’s writer’s block. Recognizing that will help to cure what ails and move on.
Your next step is to pinpoint the source. Almost all cases can be traced to a specific incident that brings your self-confidence and expertise into question. It might have been an off-handed comment by a colleague or friend; you might have lost a contest or been denied an application. There is a source and your journey will be much quicker if you find it.
Look at the source objectively. Reading is a subjective art form. Even best selling authors have their critics. No one single opinion is that important. Something about that comment popped your enthusiasm. Break it down, look at it closely then discard it.
Writers write because they care. If a writer doesn’t care about his writing there is no writer’s block. Understanding that a writer writes because they want or need to write negates any validity in comments from friends or colleagues. What ever it was that stopped your creativity is not valid. There is enough validity in your need to write.
On a more concrete level, after going through these steps, you should then make the effort to sit down and write each day. Even if you only put gibberish to paper you will find that the simple act of writing will gradually increase your self-confidence and assure you that your expertise has not magically disappeared.
Writer’s block is an irritating self-confidence issue that can easily lead to years of self-destruction if not addressed properly. Sadly, the world is would be without many of today’s greatest works if the authors had not addressed their issues .

English Learning Writing Software - Writing can be of many types. It can be used for communication by most of the people or it may be taken up as a profession where people are engaged in creative writing, article writing or any other type of academic writing.
One thing that is very essential in all types of writing is that the whole text should be flawless to make it professional and easily comprehensible by the readers. To get a final copy of flawless text the person should have the proficiency of editing the text in such a way that all the errors are detected and rectified.
A person who has the proficiency in writing may not have the expertise in editing as writing means putting down the thoughts and ideas on the paper which has to be communicated to the reader. On the other hand editing requires some special skill. There are two types of editing, content editing and copy editing.
Both types of editing is required for the written text and this has become all the more necessary for English language as globalization has forced people of all the countries to adopt English as the primary means of communication.
Difference between Content and Copy Editing
There is a vast difference between content editing and copy editing. Copy editing means proofreading, where the common spelling, grammar and punctuation errors are rectified without making any changes in the original text. Content editing is a higher level editing where many changes are brought into the original text to bridge the gap between the ideas of the writer and the desires of the reader.

In almost every writer’s fora that there is, the deplorable perennial problem of writer’s block has always been brought up by both professional and amateur creative writers. Some discussions have even gone as deep as defining the nature of writer’s block in the hopes of acquiring counter-active measures should writer’s block, a.k.a. “fear-of-the-blank-page” come up in the middle of a deadline.
What is a writer’s block? On the surface, it is simply a period of non-activity for the writer. A writer or a poet may attempt to write something based on the need to write something, and come up with absolutely nothing creative, if anything at all. What causes a writer’s block and what can be done about it? Here are some thoughts and suggestions:
1. The fear of coming up short from their last project - Collectively speaking, most artists and writers have an obsessive compulsion to concretize and materialize, through their works, abstracted thoughts and ideas. Once they attempt at some work, there is always that fear of producing something despairingly short of what they have intended to create from its original idea, thus, disappointing themselves more than disappointing others. If artistic or writer’s block does not happen prior tot he start of the project, it may also very well occur while the work is in process. This explains why several writers may work on different projects at the same time, jumping from one unfinished work to another, others even abandoning previous works altogether for a new one and ultimately not accomplishing anything in the end.
2. A comeback after a long time off - Vacations and some time off taking care of familial/domestic or personal matters can only have two extreme results: either it rejuvenates, recharges and inspires the writer for the next project, or it completely diminishes or finishes off whatever is left of a prolific and fecund mind! Let’s face it, even professional writers are, first and foremost, human beings before they are writers. And, as humans, brilliant and loving their professions as they may be, writers too are bound to lose footing once they have taken some time off from writing, if not inspired and recharged, as mentioned.
3. Insecurities - Lack of formal training…Being a newbie…The writing style…a friend who’s a better writer…etc., etc., etc., these can all spell one thing: insecurities. Our insecurities can really work nasty for writers and we know there is no other way out other than a paradigm shift or a change in perspective for the writer. We know that there will always be other people more educated, more renowned in the creative writing field, writers who are relatively better than us, other trends and styles in writing which the writer can become unfamiliar and intimidated with, but the bottomline is that it is just a matter of gritting your teeth with some decision-making: to write or not to write? In the first place, if a writer is already too busy being concerned with being a writer rather than actually writing, if a writer writes for some reason other than writing for its own sake, then he/she has no business being a writer at all.
4. Bills to pay, daily tasks, and other small details - Where to get the money for the bills, who brings and fetches the children to and from school, and for writers with actual day jobs, how many deadlines to meet — who can still think of writing? These concerns, to mention only a few, hampers the writer’s writer’s sensitive thoughts. These are practical things that need to be done on the daily basis. On the surface, these concerns may seem harmless to an aspiring writer, but eventually, it dries up the creative writer’s reservoir that needs constant nurturing. This is not to say, however, that children, career and domestic chores and other concerns should no longer be tended to in order to write. Being a great writer does not necessarily entail shunning away from daily practical concerns, in the same manner that a duty-free person does not give you a prolific writer. Difficult for the right-brained writer as it may be, time must be managed, schedules and systems must be established in order to attain the perfect juxtaposition and equilibrium of work (chores and responsibilities) and play (writing).

We’re all familiar with what ‘writers block’ is. What exactly causes this phenomenon that strikes as we attempt to compose our thoughts or ideas on paper differs with each person and situation.
If you think about it, writers block is almost always caused by one of the 6 reasons:
1) lack of preparation.
2) Inability to find the right opening line for your composition.
3) The fear of error. Let’s face it, nobody want to look stupid when it comes to documenting themselves for all the world to read.
4) Editing your work as you go along. This is a great way to lose your train of thought.
5) Lack of focus.
6) And lastly but probably the most common, procrastination. Getting ready to write is far different from jumping right in and doing it. This act alone only tends to exaggerate the problem since it allows those ‘mental barriers’ to develop and strengthen.
Ok so how do we ‘banish’ these obstacles you ask? By taking immediate action towards the completion of our composition. This will disallow any mental barriers to develop that may hinder our work. These barriers are usually due in some part to fear of failure.
By the simple act of taking immediate action here’s how you are able to overcome those 6 common obstacles that lead to writers block:
1) Prepare yourself thru the proper and necessary research. Find a quiet place where you can do your work undisturbed. Set aside the time needed and complete this task.
2) Don’t allow the inability to compose the right opening line stop you. Skip this part for now and continue on with your writing. You’ll find that as you write an idea will come to you and at that point you can go back and ‘complete’ your opening.
3) If you can talk you can write. Don’t fear that your work will be viewed as less then perfect. Just record your thoughts as they flow and forget perfection. After all your objective is to share your thoughts and ideas, isn’t it.
4) Avoid the temptation of making corrections as you write. Editing will be your next step. Keep these two steps separate. Things will go a lot smoother when you’re not constantly pausing to make corrections thereby breaking up your thought process.
5) By keeping all your steps separate, your ability to focus will come easier. Pausing for any reason will only disrupt this focus increasing both your frustration and time spent on this project.
6) Don’t put off till later what you can complete now. All this will eventually accomplish is much more to do later thereby threatening the completion of many of your desired objectives.
Obviously the most effective means to combat writers block is to take immediate action. An idle mind is more receptive to self doubt and temptation. Simply establish your objectives, then take the steps to complete them.
