Historical fiction for people who hate historical fiction?
I am doing a research paper on a historical event (it doesn’t matter what, but I need something that’s pretty easy to get information on). I’m supposed to read a historical fiction novel and see if it portrays the event accurately, and then write a five page paper.
The problem is this: I hate historical fiction, so I have no idea what I should read. Does anyone have a suggestion for a historical fiction book that someone who’s more into fantasy and chick-lit would like? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have good suggestion for poetry reading?
We’ve started interpreting poetry in AP English 12, and it was quite a shock to me that I knew almost none of the authors my fellow classmates brought in to read from.
I feel slightly uneducated, and I was wondering if there are any authors that any of you believe to have wonderful works that I can start reading.

writers block for once please help?
I am writing a persuasive essay. My thesis is that teen should not be allowed to have abortions. I need help with my opening, i want to open with pathos and want to induce guilt. I was thinking something like what makes a human… but I dont think that would work best for my topic.. I will take any suggestion. Thank you very much in advance.
That is a very good answer, how could i change it to not say you so much?

Can you suggest a short story, creative writing or children’s fiction distance learning course?
I just fancy doing something over the summer between the last 2 years of my degree.
I can’t do Open Uni, due to start dates. It has to run for a maximum of 12 weeks, distance learning only.
I’ve looked at the writiers bureau etc all their courses are too long.
Nothing too advanced or competitive, but I’ll appreciate all sensible suggestion.
any suggestions?
