Questions

I’ve had writers block before, but never quite this bad. It usually lasts maybe a week max, and so far I’ve had writers block for close to three months! I love my story and want to end it. I love my characters and would love for them to be alive. I just can’t seem to write!
Has anyone got any tips that have worked for them?

Oh and I am writing a young adult/supernatural/romance book if that helps =].

I’ve been writing a fiction/horror book for quite a while, but I’m not really enjoying it so much. But I’m now quite a bit through the storyline and I was just wondering if it’d be stupid to give up now.
On the other hand, I’ve always wanted to write a Fantasy novel, akin to Lord of the Rings or the Inheritance trilogy.

Which is there more demand for in this day and age?

I have heard that the winner in recent years was “The Core”. I found it very interesting, but it was pretty hard to believe, especially the metal that was developed to create their ship.
The one that stands out to me the most is the recent version of “The Day the Earth Stood Still”. Klaatu’s ability to jumpstart machines and people was stupid, and the nanotech that was used to “eat” everything is silly in the fact that if such creatures existed, how would you contain them and control them?
What is your choice for least science-based science fiction movie?

Ok so I’m writing a story and am currently very irritated.
I’ve just finished a ’scene’ and have left it open with a very ambiguous question.
What I need to know now is, how do I continue it. Should I continue my characters day to day life, or fast forward a few months and continue the story from there. It’s very fustrating, as I don’t know how to start of either scene!

As I’d like to start the Master in Creative Writing in Auckland Uni, I would be much obliged if you could give me ANY information about the Creative Writing programme at Auckland Uni and about Creative Writing in general: does it really help to get the opportunity to become a published writer?

Do you think a French student like me has some chance to become an “English-writing” writer?

I have to write a short story for my English class and, to get my teacher mad, I want to make it as stupid and outrageous as possible. Any ideas? Really, it can be as crazy as needed be.

Writers Block, I need a Cure…Please Help!!?
I am taking a Childrens Literature Course, and I have such bad writers block right now. Anybody have any good ideas. Any help is very appreciated.
My assignment is:
Write a 500 - 1000 word story using the word list below as a guide:
whisper
slide
flag
cup
patch
leap
candle
sing
brush
float
The words can be used as story starters and the story can include all, some, or none of the words listed and be for young children up to teenagers.
Anyone have any good ideas? I am just stumped. The one’s I came up with seemed really stupid and boring.
