Father Time

I’m looking for anything within the recent 5 years or so. I’ve only read a few fiction books recently and would like to venture into some newer stuff (I read a lot of Sherlock Holmes and I am reading Knitting Under the Influence)

So I like well written mystery and humorous stuff. I’m open to other things as well.
I forgot to mention, I am 20 and not looking for fantasy or high school type books. I want adult themese and mostly real life type stuff.

Action and Adventure – definitely this is my most wanted category, like noir-type stuff, original stuff, etc. ; don’t really like military suspense stuff

Sci-Fi – nothing to technical

Fantasy – was really impressed by Eragon, so something similar to that would be great

Suspense – pretty much anything

Basically, just looking for books that break the mold of cliche stuff.

I am writing a novel and I dont want to send off for a cd that tells me about all the free grants out. I already know I want a grant for writing a book. I just need to know what govt office I need to call or who to write to an request the application to be mailed to me. I just need the application itself not all that other stuff the internet offers. I just want the application for the grant itself. with application in my hands, I can handle the rest.

Particularly ones involving nurses. can be english, american, etc., novels or online writings. Think Pearl Harbor, Atonement, English Patient type of stuff. I am a sucker for this kind of romance but I am unable to find anything online or in bookstores just searching on my own.

i can write fiction books pretty good, draw, hack(barely though), i have a lot of friends and am good with people, good at sports play guitar, lotsa of stuff. but Everywhere i go, im too young too submit stuff, design games and other things i want to do, there isnt even a place that teaches about that stuff. scchool and home and the “norm” life isnt enough but what can i do now?

I have been an avid novel reader and have mainly read thriller, mysteries, etc. I have enjoyed medical thrillers immensely although I have read some law and techno thrillers. All of the stuff without any real merit lol However, I want to broaden my horizon and begin to read about real life events, topics, people, etc. I need to start with some non-fiction books that are exciting enough to hold my interest, and then I will sort of “wean” myself from this need for excitement.

Does anyone have non-fiction titles to start with? It doesn’t matter the topic, just needs to be interesting and reasonably exciting.
