Which do you think is more important or higher priority-furthering my Spanish or writing fiction?
I already have my college degree-BA in Spanish & still not fluent but don’t have the money to move to a Spanish-speaking country to practice. I also want to become a bilingual author who writes fiction in many categories. Do you think I should do both @ the same time or study a lot of Spanish 1st & THEN work on writing skills for fiction? Since I have a disability, I was taking extra classes after graduation to try to improve my GPA, but I was hospitalized & had do drop out, & I have no luck finding a job with a BA degree in Spanish with a little literature knowledge. I don’t want to pursue literature. I want to do translating & interpreting. As of this week I’m no longer in school for medical reasons & I’ll be bored. Over this weekend, should I work on improving my Spanish first, writing, or both? I plan to write adult, teen, & child fiction. I can teach & review Spanish myself independently with no teacher. I’m having trouble deciding what’s top priority.
