Is Fantasy included in General Fiction?

I’ve written a fantasy novel and have been looking through the writers and artists yearbook for agents. If they say they handle ‘general fiction’ and don’t say ‘no fantasy or sci-fi’ then is it worth submitting to them or will they instantly discard it because it’s fantasy?

I loved the twilight books and im into that whole fantasy/sci-fi fiction romance thing, any recommendations?

I’ve heard blue blood, silver kisses, vampire kisses, etc were good but not sure …i get bored VERY easily with a book so it has to really catch me…. something with a really strong romance story. it doesn’t have to necessarily be about vamps or wolfs… like i said fantasy/sci-fi fiction romance.

Science Fiction?

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows where to get old science fiction art from paperback books that were released in the 60’s. Were any old sci-fi covers made into poster format. Im thinking of books by Heinlein, Bester, Van Vogt.

Thanks

Your favorite fiction books and authors? (NO sci-fi, mystery, horror, historical, or romance novels, please)?

Oh, yeah….and I forgot no fantasy!
I forgot: no fantasy.

Some of you said I’ve eliminated all books. NOT SO! I read about two books a week. Here’s my list of favorite fiction:
Bronte, Charlotte – Jane Eyre,
Bronte, Emily – Wuthering Heights,
Burnett, Frances Hodgson – The Secret Garden (children’s book),
Fitch, Janet – Sweet Oleander (also the movie),
Fowles, John – The Magus,
Juster, Norton – The Phanton Tollbooth
(children’s book),
Krakauer, Jon – Into the Wild (made into a movie by Sean Penn),
Lee, Harper – To Kill a Mockingbird,
McCall Smith, Alexander – The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency (10 books),
Turner, Nancy E. – The Blood and the Water,
Tyler, Anne – ANY books by her, especially Saint Maybe,
Waller, Robert James – ANY books by him,
Margery Williams – The Velveteen Rabbit (children’s book)

What’s a good science fiction novel to read?

I’m trying to find a good sci-fi book to read. I enjoy reading about time travel theory, but not super cliche time travel stuff, if you know what I’m talking about. I’m also really into Doctor Who, so if anyone has read any of those books, which one would you recommend? Something preferably on the shorter side too, so maybe no more than 500 or 550 pages. Thanks.

i understand that the story takes place in the future and is based on an underground city, which makes it sci-fi. But are there any other reasons? and how is it an example of fantasy? thankss! (:
