I really like murder mysteries and suspense but all the characters are straight. does anyone know of books where the gay orientation of the character is not a big deal and not based on a love story and is based on the character solving or being involved in a murder mystery/suspense

I just completed my first manuscript (have written many) this is the first I am really interested in getting feedback on & eventaully ****?t to have published. As a christian, you be told that certain media are off limits? Like you should only read ****?ks that are only geared to Christianity, ****? you still enjoy ****?d medical thrillers, and Science Fiction. Is there anything really wrong with reading what you love? I would love everyone’s input!
The thing is, I read ****?d Christian fiction, ****? I still love things that are about love and romance, and science fiction. I adore those, ****? I still love God.

I’m a picky reader and I find it hard to really get into books. Usually I’ll read a couple chapters and then become disintersted. Can anyone recommend some really engrossing fiction books? I perfer mystery, fantasy, horror, though I’ll read anything besides romance.

No need to recommend harry potter, his dark materials, tolkien — I’ve read all those.
