I have been told that I have an “amazing talent” in writing. I have wrote a poem which I feel confident of. Where do I go to publish it? Do i need more then one poem? Also what are the chances of actually getting a poem or novel published?

I am in the process of writing a juvenile fiction book. I would like to find a publisher, but really do not know where to start. There are so many websites and places on the internet, it is hard to know what are legitimate and what are not. I would like to find a publisher that I can be in regular contact with and not just communicating through impersonal emails.

I mean really it makes me crazy when people start a story and they are on page 3 and they talk nonstop about this great book they are writing.

i’ve written things where the shortest chapter was like 20 pages size 10 font. I never call my stuff books or novels.

its not a book or a novel till its published!

lol. I dont know why it bother me. Anyone can write a 12 page story and call it a book. it takes a real writer to actually publish that book.

I have some chapters left, after that, I have to organize my book.
I’d publish it, just like most authors. If I were an old person, that might work. I’m not even 14 yet. How do I enter my book, which will not be shortened or editted in any way, into a writing contest for people my age? (11-14.) I have been told by my sixth grade English teacher I’m a good writer, and told my friend the same. I want to publish my work equally, but no one lets me. (Nope. No NaNoWriMo. I wrote more than half of it already.)
If it were a movie, the rating would be G, just the very very slightest of PG. (A majority of it involves dedicated Christians at a church camp. So it can’t be too bad.)
By the end it should be about 200 pages long.

Yes, I’m young. I’ll only be young once. Why not use that immaturity in the later years?

Even if you have deleted all trace of them from the internet?

A friend of mine wanted his poetry published and was told he couldn’t do so because of this.
What about self-publishing? And what if the publisher is fine with it? The question was whether or not it was illegal.

I would like to begin gathering some of my poetry together. Eventually I’d like for it to be published, but I’m not sure how to go about doing that. Is there a special way I need to have everything in order? Should I just combine it together in the same format as a regular book would be? Is there additional information I need to include. I’m kinda confused, but ready to do this. Where should I go to get it proof read/edited?

I have a collection of over 20 pages worth of poetry and I want to self-publish it, but I have no idea how to get started. I want specific things done with the book, such as 100% recycled paper for the book and certain images on certain pages. Well, I hope you can help me : )
