I don’t mind when its set as long as its not too far fetched from the real harry potter world. IE its still the original malfoy family, harry isn’t like luicius son or anything.

I admit it I was a big fan fiction lover once

But I have been out of the loop for about a year

So I’m wondering is it still a big thing on the net or has it stopped/slowed down now that the books have finished?

that is saying a person wrote an original piece of fiction and than wrote a harry potter fan fiction would differences would exist between the two

I’ve been looking around for a while for a good Harry Potter fan fiction of Harry and Ginny which starts before the order of the fenix. Please, if you know one suggest it, I love this kind of stories.
