Sci-Fi, Time Travel discovered while raiding a planet for technology allows a boy to relive his life?

I’m looking for I book a read a long time ago. Science Fiction, you human race had expanded to other planets. This was financed by companies that then make their money back by raiding the colonies for useful technology to take back to earth. Its about a young man that runs away from his planet and joins the raiders, and he eventually is able to travel back in time to help himself run away and then take over for his younger self and pretend like it never happened and live happily ever after. I dont know the title or auther, I’ve tried so many ways to find this. Thanks.

Is the television show ‘Heroes’ classed as science fiction?

Apart from it’s fantasy elements, it is wholly based in the real world. There is no space travel to other planets, no aliens, no galaxies far far away. Can it be classed as science fiction?

Can an object in motion travel forever through space?

I was reading this physics book and it was talking about how if an object in motion does not encounter fiction, it will keep on moving foever, theorectically.

So I need to ask, does space have friction? Will an object that is moving in space travel forever through it? And do the gravity fields emitted by the planets act as friction to slow the object down?

Thanks Guys/Gals!

Is Dragonriders of Pern science fiction or fantasy?

I’m a bit interested in Dragonriders of Pern when I saw it in the bookshops. But when I search wikipedia, it said that it is science fiction which I definitely hate. However, there are dragons stuff inside ,so if you guys know anything please tell me.
I don’t actually hate science fiction, I’m just a bit tired of planets, spaceships, attacking, bombing and stuff. I really dislike Star Wars because those lightsaber fights drive me crazy and gives me serious headaches.
