I am a 16 year old girl and I have a quite advanced reading level, compared to most 16 year olds at least.

I enjoy reading historical fiction novels, with lots of drama, romance, historical accuracy. I enjoy any period in history in any country. Does anyone have any ideas for some good books in this category?

I also like normal fiction novels, books about war, teenage romantic comedies and biographies.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My daugher is 11 years old in 6th grade and her book report is on Thursday well due thursday she has NO idea what NON FICTIO, SHORT book to do…it HAS to be short. For example a how to make or how to do book. Or a biography? And wear could we get this book? She has a day and a half to read it and do the project…PLEASE HELP!

What were popular works of Juvenile fiction in 1988? I need to know what would have been in the bookstores in 1988 that would have interested a ten year old girl. A bright ten year old girl that has read “James and the Giant Peach”, “Nancy Drew”, and “Little House on the Prairie”. It doesn’t have to have been published in ‘88 just popular than. Anyone from that ERA that remembers what they were longing to read? If you know of children’s fiction from that time too, that would be helpful since this character I am creating has a younger sister. Thanks for the help.
Yep sometimes even researchgirl can’t find what she is looking for. It’s funny, but so often I post questions on here and no one can answer them! I have had many questions deleted because I couldn’t find anyone to help me answer them!
PS Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was published in 1964. Bunnicula was published in 1979. Matilda was in 1988, so that would be a perfect one to use.
PSS I don’t want a list of what was published. I want what you were interested in during that time. I want this character to be as realistic as possible.

Yeah so I am writing a short story in my english honors class. My story is about a 15/16/17? year old girl who just found out she has an arranged marriage in two weeks. she dosnt want to marry him, but her parents are making her. in the end of the story, she will actually learn taht she has fallen in love with the guy. but i dont know how to build a climax up to that point. what should the big event be?

Alright, I want to write a story. I’m an 11 year old girl, but don’t underestimate me! I am an amazing writer and student! I like to write realistic fiction and sometimes fantasy. I usually like the main character to be a human child.
Please and thank you! Idea that helps me the most gets best answer! If it ends up being an O.K. story I might post it as a question later on.

So my story is about a 17 year old girl who is in a mental institution. She has been there ever since she was in 8th grade, when she set fire to her house out of desperation. OUT OF DESPERATION TO WHAT?BUT WHY DID SHE DO IT? WHAT CAUSED HER TO IT? Now she has to go back to school after being released from the institution becuase she completed the required time.

Any thoughts on how i can add to this, or how can i make it much more interesting and can you answer my 3 questions on why she did it?
