I wrote a novel for nanowrimo and i am in the midst of rewriting. I am not sure when I will be done, but i figure I might as well start thinking about publishing now. I don’t particularly expect it to be best seller or anything, but I do want to get it published just so i can say i did. Can you give me the pros and Cons of POD vs agent publishing? What would be my best option?
When I say it wont be a best seller I am not saying that because i think it is bad, its more because it is my first novel. I have had several people give me very positive input, saying my idea is unique and exciting. I also have three friends editing it as well and one professional editor. Thanks for all your information! I hope these details help… - ShortSuff

Where can I get an idea to write a book?
I am in tenth grdae and have to write a book for nanowrimo. I have no idea what to write about. I want it to be fiction. There is no censroship, so I can write about whatever. Is there any website I can go to, that has like a questionairre or something to get me started? Any Ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Those are some really great ideas so far. It’s still a little cloudy, but I think I may be getting an idea. By the way if ppossible, I want somethong not very common, that’s still interesting. or maybe something that is common but has a twist that’s not. Feel FREE to put ANY ideas onh here though, even if they aaer common. Thanks again for your help! - Holly

It’s National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org). Each person is asked to write a 50,000 word novel in a month - it benefits libraires in third world countries.
Anyways, I’m having a terrible case of writer’s block. Since I only have a month I don’t have time to just leave my work for a few days.
So here it goes: my story is set in the future and my main character is a clone who is on a mission to try and find who he is a clone of. I want there to be some be twist though. I thought about my antagonist creating a clone army or something similar, but that’s been done so many times.
Any ideas would be great - even if you don’t think your idea will work, tell me and I might get something off of it. Thanks a bunch! - orangewaffle88

Southern Baptists, which version of the Bible do you use? And why do you use that particular version? Are there certain verses in the Bible that are particularly significant to Southern Baptist practice?
(Yep, this is another question related to National Novel Writing Month:
http://www.nanowrimo.org
I have a Southern Baptist main character, and I’d like to try to portray your beliefs as accurately as possible.
If you’re feeling particularly helpful, you might also have a look at my other question, here:

which is about different aspects of Southern Baptist practice.)
Thank you for your help. - prairiecrow

I can’t figure it out. I don’t have any page called “My Novel”, as far as I can see, and that’s what I read that I should do on google. Help! - abigillygal

Rather than be accused of promoting it, I will not enter the links here. But I’m curious to know some of you, and how you are doing on this. Or if not, have you ever published a book or even published in journals, literary quarterlies, or anything prestigious like National Geographic, Esquire, GQ, Time Magazine, The New Yorker?
What advice might you offer to the aspiring novelist? - hajgora7

I am seriously thinking about it. I am thinking about using it as a first draft and then working it more on the second draft. Anybody else here planning on writing one? If you are contact me - we should keep count of words here.

Careful or you may wind up in my next novel.
