I really like murder mysteries and suspense but all the characters are straight. does anyone know of books where the gay orientation of the character is not a big deal and not based on a love story and is based on the character solving or being involved in a murder mystery/suspense

I am starting on a novel and I ****?t it to be murder mystery. The lead character is a woman. She will discover a body and work to solve the case. I need some ideas for a catchy name and what her occupation should be during the day besides sleuthing. Nay ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It is called something like White Sand. It is a documentary of a man who is stalking and murdering people and he writes about it. Basically the murderer is the author. Fiction.

I figured I would start with an outline of how the book is going to go. It is a murder mystery book btw. I also figured I would make a list of the characters and jot down things about them like looks, personality, and so on. If anyone has any ideas on where/how to start this process I would be forever grateful. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if anyone new the Title of a book with the following plotline:

The protagonist is a woman, i believe from Sicily, who travels to England during the 1600s. She’s got a bit of a murder mystery on her hands, and she’s up to date on the best medical knowledge of the time.

The problem is of course that being far from Mediterrenean culture, the folks around her have an inclination to believe she’s a witch.

Does this sound familiar to anyone at all?
