Henry Miller – Bathroom monologue 1

Henry Miller tells about art in hes bathroom.

What is your favourite style of creative writing to read?

Romance? Thriller? Constant, focussed conflict?

An autobiography, a monologue perhaps? Or just a story?

My personal favourites are streams of consciousness like The Catcher in the Rye; I was always writing them for English assignments when I was younger.
I was curious because I want to get into writing again, and would love to know what others enjoy to read, especially in short pieces of creative writing.

I’m writing a novel which is a taped monologue by the hero. How many dbl-spaced pages would equal 1 minute?

The main character will walk around his hometown talking into his microcassette recorder–a la TWIN PEAKS. To make it realistic, such as when he flips the tape or puts in a fresh cassette, I need to know how many double-spaced pages represents a minute of speaking.
