I want to read this book again, but I cannot remember the title or author. I think it was “A mirror in time”, but when I google it, it is not the right novel.

I read the book when I was 15 and it’s about love, time travel & ressurection. It starts with a woman sitting in her sitting room in an old tower with her young toddler, she has just told her husband that they are expecting. As she sits there she smells smoke & the tower is soon engulved in flames. The husband arrives too late to save her, but in time to catch the toddler she shoved out the window. He watches as she dies in the fire.
Flash forward to the 20th century to a woman who has an irrational fear of fire & one night she’s inexplicably drawn to visit an old english estate. While wandering the grounds of this estate at night she sees this old pile of rubble, that is what remains of the old, burnt down tower, freaks out and bolts out into the road. She’s struck by a car & blacks out. She awakes back in time, in some other woman’s body. This woman is the second wife to the husband describe earlier who lost his first wife.
Meanwhile her 20th century self is in a coma. Later she discovers that she was this woman in the tower that burnt to the ground & that the husband she lost as the 1st woman, is the husband to the woman she awoke as. The story winds & twists around her & this guy back in the 2oth century, who’s going to a hypnotherapist about these dreams he has. Turns out he’s the husband & the hypnotherapist is the cousin who killed the 1st wife & attempted to kill the 2nd wife too.

One of the main female character’s name is Jessica, one is Elizabeth (I think) the other I cannot remember.

I have a bad case of writers block!

I need to show you what it means to be who you are,
I’ve been living a lie and I want to make things right.
You see my heart separates every time I let you in,
So now look at me and tell me where should I begin.

I am a maniac who is in his right mind,
So tell me how can I leave myself behind.
I smoke, I drink, I try and be someone I’m not,
Cause in the end, it’s the only god damn thing I’ve got.

I have my girlfriend she is losing time,
She’s dwelling on me when I was in my prime,
Well today I sit before the jury of a court of loneliness,
That’s right I am on trial for taking to the rest.

Hey love affair wont you sing me to sleep,
I want to see what I’m like in my dreams.
Will any mirror reflect my own face,
I figure it out, am I really such a disgrace.

I hurt, I bleed, and I have seen everything,
So what makes the difference between you and me.
I guess I can admit that in this world I mean nothing,
I can’t wait till you relies this to.

i love writing poems, but i suck. any tips?
here. this is my poem. It is really scary-ish but it has a lot of meaning to it, i hope you like it.

Dead at nineteen

she looks in the mirror
and hates what she sees
she wants to be pretty
but thinks, thats not for me

she sees some mascara
in a cupboard all alone
she could easily take it
and her mother’s not home

she calls her bestfriend
and they go to the pub
they meet 2 great guys
who take them to the club

she drank shots all night
and had too much to drink
her visions impaired
and she really can’t think

and these really great guys
are not what they seem
she thought they were nice
but it was a dream

she looked in the mirror
and hated what she seen
she wanted to be pretty
and now she’ll never be.
