I love writing short stories. But, the majority of my stories are about hospitals or people getting injured. Can anyone give me any ideas as to how to write something different?

Ok, so i’ve been going through quite the writers/art block. I’ve really felt like writing a poem that can tell a story. (if you ever write songs or poems you know exactly how i feel right now.) and im really drawing a blank. I’ll admit, i have forcing myself to express myself when i don’t have anything strong enough to really express, so i REALLY REALLY need your help.

But please no love stories. I want really emotion, and love is so complicated yet so simple to explain. i really want something with meaning. (other than love. those are so common don’t you think??)

Hey I’ve been really interested in World War 2 and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for fiction books that take place during the war. I read Atonement and really liked that. And I also just saw the movie Australia and I really enjoyed that. So anything along those lines, I would really appreciate it. It can take place either in the United States or elsewhere. Thank you!
I do like love stories and I’m particularly fascinated by the nurses and hositals.

Jin Yon, born February 6, 1924, pen name of Louis Cha is one of the most influential modern Chinese-language novelists. Co-founder of the Hong Kong daily Ming Pao, he was its first editor-in-chief and held this position until 1993.Cha’s fiction has a widespread following in Chinese-speaking areas, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. His fifteen novels and short fiction – composed between 1955 and 1972 – earned him a reputation as one of the finest wuxia (“martial arts and chivalry”) writer ever. He is the best-selling Chinese author alive; over 30 million copies of his works have been sold worldwide (over 100 million if one includes bootleg copies).
