My mom told me of a best selling non-fiction book that came out what I thought was about 5-10 years ago. I suppose it could be a little older, but not much. I think it was written by a doctor about what medical schooling, and the learning process in general, was like. He basically implied that a lot of medical schooling/learning was based on trial and error with patients and that a lot of mistakes are made by doctors and that is basically how they learn. I believe my mom said the book was seen as semi-controversial and created a lot of talk in the medical profession. Does this ring any bells with anybody?
Hmm- I looked up ‘House of God’ on wikipedia and I’m 98% sure that isn’t it. I’m almost positive my mom told me about it in the last decade and that she implied it was a relatively current non-fiction title.

I need a interesting historic fiction book that has to do with American History. I prefer it to be short because I have so many classes and a lot of homework that I don’t have time for a long book.

For those who have answered so far, thank you. I’d like to know what authors you’ve previously read. I’ve been reading a lot of Karen Kingsbury lately personally. I like her stories and get very involved, but there are elements of her writing that irk me and that I’d change if I could.

Okay, so there’s this girl that I like. I’ve been through a lot, but I’m completely afraid of her. I shake when I try to talk to her, and it’s just not a pretty sight. I’ve liked her for two years now from afar, and I thought that was a little too long. I wanted to tell her how I felt about her, but I didn’t know how, until an idea came to me the other day. We both like to write, and we just both wrote 50,000 word novels in a writing competition for this thing called “NaNoWriMo” (NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth). But I wanted to tell her. I don’t think I would ever be able to do it in person, but we’ve been talking on AIM and stuff, texting even a little bit. I thought of something that I think she would just melt at finding out about, but I don’t know how accepted it would be. I wanted to tell her through writing a short novel, first using fictitious character names, and then at the end, revealing who they really are, me and her. I’ve already started it, and I want to finish soon. Thanks

Okay, so I get an idea, then I stop writing my story because I don’t like the plot/ get writers block. I need your advice on what I should do. I usually write about horses and such, and I know a lot about that subjest but it just isn’t working for me. No mean comments please
