What genre is Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler ? A fiction, or non-fiction ? Sorry, a little bit braindead lately. :\

I read a lot. I read everything, but I enjoy the science fiction and fantasy genre for recreational reading. I’m looking for awesome books by talented authors that I haven’t already read.

Please have read the book you recommend, and tell me a little bit about why I should put it on the top of my reading list. Thanks.
Thanks for answering. Yes, I’ve read most of Neil Gaiman’s work, and I am a big fan. I’ve also recently read the available books in Naomi Novik’s series. Liked them too. These are favorites of mine, and I’m happy to see them recommended — excellent — but I’m still looking for more.

I’ve been reading alot lately (starting to become a little bit of a book worm). I”ve mostly been getting into Christian fiction. I’m making a list of some possible authors and books that I would like to read then see if the local library has those books. What are some good Christian fiction authors/books that you would reccomend for reading?

Okay, so there’s this girl that I like. I’ve been through a lot, but I’m completely afraid of her. I shake when I try to talk to her, and it’s just not a pretty sight. I’ve liked her for two years now from afar, and I thought that was a little too long. I wanted to tell her how I felt about her, but I didn’t know how, until an idea came to me the other day. We both like to write, and we just both wrote 50,000 word novels in a writing competition for this thing called “NaNoWriMo” (NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth). But I wanted to tell her. I don’t think I would ever be able to do it in person, but we’ve been talking on AIM and stuff, texting even a little bit. I thought of something that I think she would just melt at finding out about, but I don’t know how accepted it would be. I wanted to tell her through writing a short novel, first using fictitious character names, and then at the end, revealing who they really are, me and her. I’ve already started it, and I want to finish soon. Thanks

I need help on starting my admissions essay for Penn State. On the app. there is only a little bit of room so it has to be short but i just cant think of how to start it haha….. the question is…. Focus on one activity, and discuss what you have gained from your involvement and how it would affect your student experience at college….. Like i want to focus on my sport but i just cant start it……ahhhhhh! writers block

I know this is sort of in the wrong area but I posted this question in the writing area and no one responded.

Besides, I want my book to have a religious theme anyways so I suppose it does fit.

For those of you who don’t know, Nanowrimo is National Novel Writing Month where the participants try to write a 50 000 word novel in 1 month (the month of November).

The problem is, I need a little bit of help with some story ideas. Not a full plot or anything, just a tiny little detail that might be interesting to work in.

I started writing something almost two years ago and so many people who read the little bit were impressed and ready to see the rest of the story. Unfortunately I got writers block and can’t think of what else to do to the story without ruining the thing. Has this ever happened to you? How did you cure yourself and start writing again?
