Non-fiction: What do you read and why?
I am currently rereading “No Place for a Lady: Tales of Adventurous Women Travellers” by Barbara Hodgson, about women travelling around the world from 1650-1900. I personally love non-fiction about travelling, but I also love biographies. Then there’s essays, and of course scientific journals…
What sort of non-fiction do you like to read, and why?

literary theory in v.woolf’s fiction?
Woolf stated that the way of writing should be changed so that fiction could develop further.
Her opinion on iterary theory and her view how one should write is expressed in her essays - ‘Modern fiction’ etc.
Something of literary theory can be found also in her short stories and novels. The question is-which novels best reflect the view? Or in which novels she specifically writes on that? In which novels one of the characters are writer or something like that who actually says how one should or should not write?

What can I do with a degree in Creative Writing?
Apart “write novels” which is the obvious answer to that question. Usually novel writing comes as a second career, after you’ve established yourself in another field such as teaching… which is another thing I don’t want to do.
No stupid answers telling me Creative Writing is not a proper degree. Trust me, it’s not as easy as you think. I have essays to write too.
