;Civil War
Can anyone recommend some good NON-FICTION, SCHOLARLY war history books?
Some I’ve read are:
Chandler–The Campaigns of Napoleon
Shelby Foote–The Civil War, 3 vols.
Stephen Sears–Chancellorsville; Landscape Turned Red: Antietam; Gettysburg
Victor Davis Hansen–A War Like No Other
Adrian Goldsworthy–The Punic Wars
Cornelius Ryan–Longest Day; A Bridge Too Far
I’m looking for narrative accounts of specific battles or campaigns (any era or locale), based on solid research. Thank you for your suggestions!

Old short story or play about a good marriage?
I need to find a short story or short play from the 1700’s or older about married life.
I’m writing a paper on how the institution of marriage has changed throughout time. I have a modern story and one from the civil war era. Need something older, that talks about how sacred marriage is.
Thanks!
