What do all these weird fan fiction terms mean?

I’ve been browsing through fan fiction and I come across strange terms in the summaries. “My first lemon!” What the crap is lemon?! and “yaoi”?! Can someone break these down for me? If this is some new teen lingo, I’m feeling pretty old right now….

What is the title of the short story about a dystopic society, and a ballet couple dance, later got shotdown?

I read this short story in middle school and need help finding out the title. The story takes place in a dystopic society. Everyone is made equal. Beauty is shunned upon. There is a ballet couple. They dance in front of millions on the T.V. They are forced to wear masks to hide their beauty. They dance but with restriction. Later in the dance they break away from the rules of keeping their dance from being too expressive.

They both get shot down in the end for dancing freely.

What is the title of this short story?? please help!

New poem, after 2 months of writers block! Please comment?

Still silence break, let darkness fade away
Dim colour wake and greet the light of day
This sickness grows, this sickness breathes inside
But live I must, to burry what has died

Still silence, move, let words come pouring free
Yet win or lose, I am no longer Me
This sickness grows and fever burns the skin
But stand I must to fight what it may bring

How to break writers block?

Yes, I have searched Y!A for days now and have found nothing satisfactory. Usually, nothing inspires me to do something, I do it because I want to do something new, and if I like it, I stick to it. I’m not the kind of person who can brainstorm or daydream either, and I can’t write random terms and shuffle them. I usually have an active imagination, but now I can’t think of anything, HELP PLZ???
I can’t observe either! Help!
I’m 11, if that helps.

How hard is it to break into the novel-writing industry when you have talent?

Ok, what I really would like to do with my life is to be a romance novelist. I know I could do it and I know I would be good at it and I’ve even started writing my first novel. But how hard is it to be a novelist like that? What are the chances of being successful? Like, Johanna Lindsey successful? And she started off as a horrible writer and her last book was horrible but yet she is one of the queens of romance. How does it work? You sell your first book? Get a publisher? etc etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
ok I hope I put this in the right place…

I need help with writing a short story?

In short stories, is it acceptable if I use chapters or some squiggly lines to separate sets of paragraphs told with different points/event (but the same story, of course).

And can you please suggest some nice vocabulary.

Are these lines ok-for separating 2 events or main points in a story?- like a break?

This story is about multiculturalism…of a girl fostered in a malay home.
Her face was etched with lines of worry.

is that sentence okay?

How do I ‘heal’ after a severe case of writers block?

I just kind of beat writers block and I was wondering what were the best steps in order to fully ‘heal’ from it. What do professional writers do once they get over there writers block. Should I dive right back into my writing or should I take a break? (for how long?)
