I have to write a short story about a boarding school … there has to be some plot..

could i please get a few tips maybe describing the school or any nice phrases or descriptions to use… or maybe even a plot?

Like mentioned, I am writing a horror mystery novel. It’s about a boarding school that a murderer breaks loose at and wants revenge for a horrible secret that the school holds.

How can I make it scary without it being gory or bloody?
