;Adventure Fiction
Hello,
Can anyone suggest me a good fiction novel to read? I am mostly interested in eventful military novels. I enjoyed the Halo story line, as a futuristic novel with a seemingly accurate depiction of the future (I can’t stand futuristic novels with convoluted ideas of the future). I also enjoyed books by Michael Salazar, in which a military para-rescue specialist gets involved in a top secret mission to infiltrate a foreign military compound. Doesn’t have to be futuristic; perhaps a story in which some military person finds something extraordinary, like a secret base or something. or a submarine stumbling upon a frozen antarctic spaceship.
I’m quite open on the matter
, so if any of you can recommend good military/adventure fiction novels please do.
Thanks!
- MR

Once you introduce a paranormal element, is it no longer to be classified as “adventure fiction”? If you know your stuff, please say so. If you want to quess, or even have a strong opinion, you’re welcome to answer, but I especially want to hear from those in the know.

I am 16 years old, male and have written a adventure/fiction novel. The book is at least 350 pages using normal size and have done, what seems like 150 revisions. My question is since I am young, will publishers not look at my work due to age? What are good publishers for my genre?

The main character is a male geologist/mining specialist. There was some political espionage in the mix and of course he always got the woman at the end. His side kick was an 80 year old alcholic ex-sailor who used a cane(I think) to walk. I read a couple of his books then got turned on to Clive Cussler. Now I can’t remember enough details to find him again. I’ve asked book store employees, but it’s no good. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thank you!

I am trying to get a book that I have written published and i am coming up to the same barrier of publishers not accepting unsolicited manuscripts, how am i supposed to be given a chance? Was wondering if anyone can help and provide a list of publishers (pref in UK) who DO accept unsolicited manuscripts or new authors?? My book is fantasy/adventure fiction for older children or adults (sort of Harry Potter style)
Please help I would be so grateful as I have worked so hard
