What are some characteristics of juvenile fiction? What about adult fiction?

Right now i’m reading Kidnapped by Stevenson (a book for teenagers) and i have to explain what are the differences between this kind of book and adult book.
I really need help with that.
If you guys know any sites that could be useful please, let me know.

I’m looking for some good books to read and I really like historical fiction. Specifically those set in colonial/Revolutionary times here in America. I’m currently reading “The Vanishing Point” by Mary Sharratt and looking to add to my “must read” list.

I don’t know the authors name but the book is about a young girl, Mary, that is raped by roman soldiers and becomes possessed by demons. Jesus make the girl well and she follows him on his travels.

Does anyone recognize this book?
The title was somthing like Mary somthing. It is an adult book and I read it in 1995 or thereabouts. It was a paperback. It had a picture of a young woman on the cover.

It is similar to some of Christopher Pike’s fiction. The plot involves a group of high school students taking a weekend retreat SAT prep course. People in the group are murdered, and then it is a whodunit type of story. The retreat itself is at a lake. Unfortunately, this is all I can really remember, save for a few half formed details (one of the male characters had a white sports car that got like 12-16 mpg). I would like to read it again, so any help would be appreciated.
