You could tell the story of King Solomon and the Baby…
my friend told me to tell you this…

Two women were fighting over a baby or something, and they went to the king to solve it.
He tried to resolve it and found that he couldn’t
so he said lets cut the baby in half
one woman agreed and the other burst into tears and said that the other could have it
and you can guess who he gave the baby to.

    idk.

she told me to type this

    if it doesn’t help

    sorry

try looking up short stories for the soul or something

    like chicken noddle soup stuff

Write a story about how you or someone else tried to get a story from YA, the beginning is the assignment, the middle is your question and the end is whether the person succeeds or not

Take an existing story and give it your own twist. The Biblical Solomon story mentioned above isn’t a bad idea for a start. Take this story, or any other story you’re familiar with, and rewrite it into your own words, maybe change the ending, or change the setting, but create some twist that makes the story your own.
(Oh, be sure if you do take the idea from another story it’s not copyrighted. A biblical story is free to use, as is Shakespeare, and many other classic stories, but if you took characters from Harry Potter you’d be infringing on intellectual property.)
