Realistic fiction is just the story of someone who didn't exist in history, but isn't a fantasy story (ie: anything by Sarah Dessen. GREAT books, by the way). Realistic fiction can be during a historic event, but isn't centered around it. Like, it could be a book about a girl surviving HS, but it takes place during WWII. That'd be Realistic Fiction. Historical would be something like Summer of my German Soldier or Slaughter House 5. ?Graceful Little Alice?
