Sorry I would let you but I am publishing it and I never share before I publish. Even if you won, most authors scramble their books anyway. I did. Good luck next year. I hit almost 68K. Still working on it.

Sorry I am aiming to publish mine as well. I hit 50,044. I also scrambled mine when I word counted. There are several ways to improve without reading other people’s nano’s. Every writer is different but here are some tips that I found that work for me. First I needed to prep. I did a lot of character development and world building before I started writing. I write fantasy so understanding the world I write about it very important. Second, I like outlines. I actually veered off mine about 1/2 way through but having it helped me keep my thoughts consistent. My outlines are just nugget scenes that I know I want to have happen. Third (and especially for Nano) I just write and when I get stuck I write a one sentence transition that gets me to the next section and I just keep writing. I have one sentence that I have reworked that will probably end up being three or four chapters. But when writing Nano you can’t stop and rework things just keep going, jump around get the thoughts out and then come December you can rewrite. Good luck. Nano is great but ultimately you have a lot of work to do once it is over.
