  4. -?- Jessi Says:

The Man With a Load of Mischief (Richard Jury Novel Series) by Martha Grimes

Death in the Orchid Garden by Ann Ripley

    Little Faith by Michael Simon

Exposure Behind Closed Doors by Victoria, Taylor Murray

And of course, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

  5. shakespearesghost Says:

Darkness, Take My Hand by Dennis Lehane. Lehane’s suspenseful style makes his books hard to put down.

Skinwalkers by Tony Hillerman. Like all of Hillerman’s books, this is unique in that it takes place on a Navajo reservation.

The Moonstone; The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. Classics.

  6. harrypotter#1fan Says:

    3 bags full
    dead girls can’t write letters
    when dad killed mom
    the christopher killer

  7. Roger Lathbury Says:

The three best mysteries I’ve ever read are

    _The Maltese Falcon_ (Dashiell Hammett)
    _The High Window_ (Raymond Chandler)
    _Black Money_ (Ross Macdonald)

These are not young adult. These are mature–that doesn’t mean “raunchy”; it means they deal with adult emotions and complexities.

The best Agatha Christie is _The Hollow_

_Accounting for Murder_ by Emma Lathem is also quite good.
